The Legend Inn

Historic Bed and Breakfast Inn

A visit to remember, beginning with a warm welcome, a specially prepared breakfast, and pampering throughout your stay.

A very charming home furnished with antique furniture original to the family. Each room is decorated with a victorian flair including private baths. A lovely country view is enjoyed from each window.

The inn was built in 1898. The house was the third home on the property which was purchased in 1865 after B. H. Skinner arrived home from the civil war.

Visitors can enjoy the country by strolling through the alluring flower gardens or meandering on the trails.

Located two miles from Lansing city limits and I-96 makes for convenient traveling to several area attractions: Wharton Center, MSU sporting events, golf, Capitol, Abrams Planetarium, and more.

Customer Testimonial

“My beautiful bride and I have been guests at numerous B&Bs over the years. In all, we have visited about 40 great places in the Indiana, Ohio and Michigan area (where there is a whole lot to see and enjoy). I have to say that our stay at The Legend Inn has been by far the BEST experience of them all. Not only does this stealth “wooden castle” have numerous (14+?) rooms, but this incredible jewel is jaw-dropping amazing with an interior embellished with solid oak throughout. Even the incredible History of this family’s house adds a dimension to your stay that is simply not possible at other B&Bs. Best of all, the Lansing Brewing Company is only a quick six miles away. Not only do they offer great craft beer but the food is even better. If you like shopping at interesting places, Old Town is just a few blocks away with numerous unique specialty shops that will thoroughly enhance your shopping experience. There is even an Antique Mega Mall that has something for everyone. We are so happy that we stayed at The Legend Inn on our annual Valentine’s day getaway weekend.

You need to very seriously consider staying at The Legend Inn because this is one amazing B&B. The serene and idyllic country setting is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The house is next to an incredible barn that is nudged by a pristine brown glazed tile silo and will simply blow you away. Several other barn-like buildings and antebellum-like trees exude artistic charm and character that will give you an unexpected and added thrill for the extremely modest cost to stay at this extremely memorable retreat. Staying at The Legend Inn will give you the ultimate in pleasant memories for years and years. Do not miss staying at this one!”
